One fine Sunday, Susie and Jack Johnson were on their front porch coloring. Then Susie said “Come on Jack let’s play ball since the weather’s so good!” , “Alright, bring the one Santa gave us last year.” said Jack excitedly. When they were in the middle of playing, Jack’s hand got in the way and the ball bounced on the other side of the fence where stood a dark forest with a sign saying DO NOT ENTER. “There goes the ball” Susie sighed.    It doesn’t look that far, I guess we could get it” Jack said. Then he jumped over the fence when Susie yelled “Can’t you read that it says do not enter?” Just then, their mom called for supper. “There goes mom’s call for supper” Jack said glumly. Actually when you spend an hour in the forest, it is a minute anywhere after the fence where it says DO NOT ENTER.

After dinner, the children set out to get their ball. While walking in the woods, they heard strange noises like someone was making a potion or doing some kind of magic. They also heard “Go away you silly Jack!” Then Jack shouted “What do you mean by that?” The only answer that came was his echo. Jack sprinted across the bushes and twigs to see what was happening. Then a sparkly hovering net fell upon her. “Aah!!!” she screamed. “Get me out of here!” Jack used a really sharp branch to cut the net, then the net slowly disappeared. After a while they reached a small  house piled up with grass on top. On the house’s lawn was a pot with potions bubbling. Jack knocked politely on the yellow circle shaped door. Surprisingly, the door opened by it’s self. “This is getting creepier by every step!” Susie said softly by grasping her brother’s hand. Where a couch should be was an elixir shelf. After that, they went inside. slowly a a scary face popped up in front of them and started chasing them.  The children ran toward the fence and quickly jumped over. For some unknown reason the face stopped in the way and went back inside. Jack and Susie were relieved that the ghost went away. Soon they were in bed and promising that they will never go in there, ever.
